Most broken websites do not look broken. The pages load and the design is fine, but the enquiries have stopped, the old pages that used to rank now go nowhere, and the tracking that counted leads went missing the day the site changed.
We saw exactly that when we took over a passenger transport client's website. It had been rebuilt three times in a year, and the tracking was lost at each one, so their advertising could no longer tell which clicks became enquiries. We rebuilt the site with identical tracking on every page, redirected the old page addresses, and confirmed a real enquiry was recording before the ads went back on. That relaunch brought 400+ quote requests in its first three weeks.
