The Challenge
Turbo & Shine is a Hamilton car grooming and detailing studio offering everything from basic interior cleans through to ceramic coating and paint correction.
When we audited the account in February the situation was tough. Two budget capped campaigns over 90 days were producing only a trickle of confirmed form leads at roughly $165 per form fill once unreliable call tracking conversions were excluded.
A competitor, Fine Shine Car Wash, was steadily eating impression share. Pricing was nowhere on the homepage so visitors bounced to compare elsewhere, and there was no dedicated campaign for ceramic coating which is the highest margin service in the entire menu.
The Meta side of the account was effectively dormant despite car grooming being one of the most visual, high-engagement service categories on Facebook and Instagram.
Our Solution
We rebuilt the entire paid acquisition stack across both channels.
On Google a new search campaign, LM | Search | Turbo & Shine Car Grooming | Hamilton, replaced the legacy structure at $45 per day with four tightly themed ad groups (Car Grooming, Car Detailing, Interior Cleaning, Paint Protection) each pointing to a dedicated grooming landing page on go. turboandshine.
co. nz with conversion tracking, Clarity heatmaps, and a lead capture form.
Account level call tracking was added on 6 April. On 11 April we layered in an ad schedule of 6am to 10pm to kill overnight wasted spend plus four new negatives ("car wash", "drive through", "self service", "back to zero") to filter intent mismatches.
On Meta we launched a $25 per day lead form campaign with native Instant Forms feeding straight into the workflow and creative built around the visual before-and-after work that already existed in the studio. Inside the next 30 day window the account produced a strong volume of leads at a $19.
16 blended cost per lead, an 88% reduction from the audit baseline. Google delivered leads at $42.
77 cost per lead with a click through rate of 16. 14%, and Meta delivered the bulk of the volume at $9.
41 each, making it the strongest single campaign in the portfolio.
