The Challenge
Sunshine Mortgages is an Auckland mortgage advisory serving a large Mandarin-speaking client base alongside English-speaking first home buyers, investors, and refinancers. The Auckland broker market is crowded with advisers running near-identical template websites, so Sunshine wanted to stand out on two fronts.
The first was being genuinely bilingual rather than relying on a translation overlay, and the second was giving clients real tools to model their own borrowing before booking a call. The goal was a site that pre-qualified enquiries and gave both audiences a native experience.
Our Solution
- Designed and built a high-performance Astro website with full English and Mandarin internationalisation at the route level, so both audiences get a native experience rather than a translation afterthought.
- Built four interactive JavaScript mortgage calculators covering repayments, extra repayments, refinance savings, and amortisation, giving clients a way to model borrowing before they book.
- Created a 5-step progressive loan application form that pre-qualifies leads by capturing income, deposit, property type, and goals before they reach the broker's inbox.
- Integrated the Google Business Profile reviews API for live social proof and added LocalBusiness and FinancialService schema for local SEO.
- Layered CRO elements throughout, including sticky CTAs, trust badges, 20+ lender partner logos, and team profiles.
