Zero calculation errors since launch for a Ray White commission calculator app

At a busy Auckland Ray White franchise, sales agents were working out commission figures in front of vendors using phone spreadsheets, paper calculators, and mental maths. The agency's structure layers tiered splits, GST, franchise fees, marketing deductions, and referrer payments that change with sale price bands and agent level, so a single slip during a listing pitch could cost the office a vendor or surface as a payroll dispute weeks later.

Agents needed accurate numbers in seconds while standing in a client's lounge, not minutes of scrolling through a spreadsheet. The goal was to give every agent a fast, confident way to present commission figures at the exact moment trust is being earned.

Designed and built a native-quality React Native app for iOS and Android that encodes the full Ray White commission logic into a clean, guided interface. Captured sale price, agent tier, and special deductions, then returned an instant breakdown of gross commission, GST, franchise fee, marketing, net to agent, and split variations.

Engineered a rules engine that handles tiered band calculations and edge cases so figures stay accurate across every scenario. Added a branded PDF export so agents can email vendors a full breakdown on the spot.

Included a secure admin panel that lets the office update commission rules without shipping a new app release.
