The Challenge
Sunshine Mortgages is an Auckland mortgage advisory servicing a large Mandarin-speaking client base alongside English-speaking first home buyers, investors, and refinancers.
The Auckland broker market is saturated with advisers running almost-identical template websites, and Sunshine needed to stand out on two fronts, first by being genuinely bilingual rather than running a lazy Google Translate overlay, and second by giving clients real tools to model their own borrowing before booking a call. Their previous site had no calculators, no language support, and a single contact form that produced low-intent enquiries requiring hours of back-and-forth to qualify.
Our Solution
We designed and built a high-performance Astro website with full English and Mandarin internationalisation at the route level so both audiences get a native experience, not a translation afterthought.
We built four interactive JavaScript-powered mortgage calculators covering borrowing power, repayments, deposit goals, and refinance savings, plus a 5-step progressive loan application form that pre-qualifies leads by capturing income, deposit, property type, and goals before landing in the broker's inbox. We integrated the Google Business Profile reviews API for live social proof, added LocalBusiness and FinancialService schema for local SEO, embedded 20+ lender partner logos, and layered CRO elements including sticky CTAs, trust badges, and team profiles throughout.
