The Challenge
GetATaxi competes in one of Auckland's most crowded markets. Rideshare apps like Uber, Ola, and Zoomy own the on-demand space, while established names like Corporate Cabs and Co-op hold the airport ranks and phone-book traffic.
The real opportunity sat with a specific, high-value customer: corporate clients and travellers who want to pre-book a fixed-fare airport transfer rather than gamble on surge pricing. To win them, GetATaxi needed to own searches like 'taxi to Auckland airport' and 'pre-book airport transfer Auckland', then turn that visibility into direct bookings rather than leaning on repeat customers and referrals.
Our Solution
- We built a fast, conversion-focused website with a clear booking flow, transparent fixed-fare pricing, and dedicated pages for airport transfers, corporate accounts, and suburban pickups.
- We then ran a full local SEO programme targeting Auckland transport searches, with service-area pages for every major suburb and terminal.
- We added LocalBusiness and Service schema, rebuilt the Google Business Profile with proper categories, photos, and review prompts, and earned backlinks from NZ travel and business directories.
- The result is consistent organic traffic for airport-transfer and pre-book taxi searches across Auckland, feeding bookings that no longer lean on referrals alone.
