A lead-generating website and loan estimator for Cabin Funders

Cabin Funders (JFK Capital Limited, FSP1010017) is a specialist New Zealand lender financing completed transportable cabins, granny flats, sleepouts and tiny homes, with loans of $20,000 to $250,000 secured against the cabin itself. Consumer lending is one of the hardest categories to build a website for: every rate mention carries CCCFA disclosure obligations, borrowers want real repayment numbers before they hand over their details, and a new brand in a niche category has to earn trust quickly.

The business needed a site that could explain a product most cabin buyers have never heard of, show honest indicative repayments, and carry a full loan application online, without a single claim that could not stand up. The goal was a lead-generating website that treats compliance as part of the design, not an afterthought.

We designed and built the site from scratch on Astro with Tailwind, server-rendered on Vercel, with a custom brand system built around a cabin logo mark and a Fraunces and Hanken Grotesk type pairing. The centrepiece is a repayment estimator powered by our own amortisation library, modelling capitalised fees, the monthly admin fee and the optional 40% balloon payment, with the maths unit-tested in Vitest so every indicative figure a borrower sees is correct.

Around it we wired a two-stage funnel: a soft callback request for people still deciding, and a full loan application for those ready to apply, both feeding straight to the lending team. Compliance is engineered into the codebase, with a single rate-disclosure constant that never shows the 1.

Six cabin-type SEO pages generate from one data-driven route, backed by LoanOrCredit, FAQ and HowTo schema plus an llms. txt file so AI search engines can cite the product accurately.

We finished with the production hygiene most builds skip: a legacy 301 redirect map, security headers, a noindexed preview host, a full legal suite, and an image optimisation pass that cut the payload from 51MB to 9. 2MB.
